Hello. I’m Gerhard Wanninger, a Christian family father; living from my own business.

I like to photograph as a sketch and to write down my life, thoughts and the environment I am living in.

I was born in Germany into a broken family with an aggressive and violent environment, was physical and mentally abused by both of my parents who grew up during WW II.

Even growing up with three sisters, I often felt unwelcomed, refused and abused. I had my small escapes within the walls I built around me; books lead me to believe there must be a better world out of my window. At around 11 years old, when I read some simple Bible passages, I somehow understood there is hope outside my evil place called home. 

Instead of being witness to the senseless world of my mother shouting at an alcoholic father arguing and even fighting without any real consequences on Sundays, I'd rather went to church and learned from the pastor - a lonely child in search for love and affection.
